Portraits can be sketched or painted from life, requiring sittings, or from a combination of sittings and photos, or solely from photographs, preferably taken by the artist.

On request an obligation free initial consultation and quote can be made to suit individual requirements. The artist defines a pastel sketch as having a drawing type of appearance with the pastel applied in a quick, sketchy style, and a pastel painting as having an appearance similar to an oil painting where the pastel has been built up in layers to a high degree of detail and finish.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required on acceptance of a quote, before commencement of work. Balance payable on the acceptance of the finished work. Quotes are calculated on individual requirements. Framing costs are not included, however, consultation and recommendations on framing and framers are offered as part of the portrait commission.

Sketch prices start from $500 - Size 40 x 50 cm, 1 to 3 sittings
Painting prices start from $1500 up to approximately $6000, Size up to 74 x 112cm, 8 or more sittings
Portraits painted in Oils also available.
